Hindi Movie Review "MAI"

Hindi Movie Review "MAI"   Casts :Asha Bhosle, Padmini Kolhapure, Ram Kapoor Director : Mahesh Kodiyal  Asha Bhosle tried to perform her role very efficiently in the movie called MAI, Bollywood has produced countless films featuring helpless parents and their unappreciative, callous kids. But When it comes to illustrating the mother-daughter relationship, Mai, however, has its moments. She demonstrates that age is simply a number. Her performance is the film's best point, but the topic is cliched.  Asha Bhosle, a famed singer in India, makes her acting debut in Mai (which means mother in Marathi), and she does not disappoint the audience! Her portrayal of a woman who raised her four children on her own before being abandoned by them in her old age is heartbreaking. It will make the audiences to cry during the scenes where Madhu is seen treating her mother like a child. After deciding to relocate to the US, Mai (Asha Bhosle) receives little support from her son Munna. ...

Aligarh Hindi Movie Review

Image
Aligarh Hindi Movie Review Actors in lead role : Manoj Bajpayee, Rajkummar Rao, Ashish Vidyarthi. Director: Hansal Mehta The appeal of Aligarh movie's lies in the fact that it accomplishes by painting a deeply affecting portrayal of love and loneliness. Hard-hitting film Aligarh openly advocates gay rights.  The world of Siras is open for exploration throughout the film. It makes it possible for you to fully understand his depression. It also makes a horrifying accusation that you are to blame for his precarious circumstances.  Siras dies on his own, under mysterious circumstances. We acknowledge that, in some little way, we are all accountable for the emergence of a culture that kills a kind, content guy simply because of his sexual choices. Hansal and author Apurva Asrani have dramatised the tragedy of Siras without using strident or belligerent language. And director Hansal Mehta approaches the subject matter in a wonderful way. It was an early morning in Aligarh,...

Review of Satyajit Ray's movie "Shatranj Ke Khiladi

Image
Review of  Satyajit Ray's  movie "Shatranj Ke Khiladi", year 1977 "Shatranj Ke Khiladi" is a cinematic masterpiece directed by the legendary filmmaker Satyajit Ray. Released in 1977, the film is based on a short story by Munshi Premchand and offers a captivating portrayal of the decadence and obliviousness of the Indian aristocracy during the reign of the British East India Company. Set in the backdrop of 1856, just before the annexation of the Kingdom of Awadh by the British, the movie explores the lives of two noblemen, Mirza Sajjad Ali (played by Sanjeev Kumar) and Mir Roshan Ali (played by Saeed Jaffrey). Obsessed with their passion for the game of chess, they remain oblivious to the brewing political storm around them. The film's strength lies in its brilliant storytelling and Ray's exceptional direction. He skillfully weaves together multiple storylines, capturing the contrast between the extravagant lifestyles of the noblemen and the polit...

Review of old Indian Hindi movie Musafir(1957)

Image
Review of old Indian Hindi movie Hrishikesh Mukerjhee's brilliant debut film Musafir(1957) The end of an era has come with the departure of seasoned Editor and Director Hrishikesh Mukerjhee. Members of any generation would find it challenging to miss his flicks. Through his brilliant films, he was a superb storyteller who moved the audience to tears.  Films by Hrishikesh Mukherjee have consistently focused on the middle class. Numerous pages ki have been published about his well-known works, but I decided to focus this assessment on Musafir, his critically lauded but financially unsuccessful and practically forgotten first picture. The three most significant life events are often seen as being birth, marriage, and death. Hrishikesh Mukherjee took this idea a step farther and turned it into a movie.  By producing it as a three-episode series, Hrishikesh Mukherjee made the movie exceedingly experimental.  I feel very lucky because, recently I got a chance to wa...

Movie Review - Doctor G: Engaging Comedy-Drama

Image
Movie Review - Doctor G: Engaging Comedy-Drama A lovely Hindi comedy, Doctor G expertly combines humour and emotion to create a captivating cinematic experience. This film, which was skillfully directed, strikes a mix between entertaining and thought-provoking storytelling. The life of Dr. Gyan Prakash Tripathi, who is portrayed by a superb lead actor, is the subject of the movie. Reputable medical expert Dr. Tripathi, or "Doctor G" as he is lovingly known, is a proponent of treating his patients with compassion and empathy.  When he is appointed as the director of the medical department at a prominent university, the story takes an intriguing turn as he deals with the politics and bureaucratic obstacles of the educational system. The film's smart script, which deftly combines humour and sarcasm to highlight the inadequacies in the medical education system, is one of its best features.  The script skillfully deals with weighty subjects while keeping a playful atti...

S hubh Mangal jyada sabdhan - Hindi Movie Review Hindi film Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan challenges social standards with humour and sympathy while offering a novel perspective on the LGBTQ+ community.  The movie, which was directed by Hitesh Kewalya, follows a same-sex couple as they navigate love, acceptance, and the struggle against discrimination. The story of Kartik and Aman, who are respectively portrayed superbly by Ayushmann Khurrana and Jitendra Kumar, is at the centre of the film. When they decide to come out to their religiously strict families, a number of challenges to their relationship arise.  The emotional hardships, cultural conflicts, and fear of social rejection that many members of the LGBTQ+ community face are expertly shown in the movie. The capacity of "Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan" to treat weighty subjects in a humorous and lighthearted manner sets it apart from other comedies.  The dialogue strikes a balance between amusing the audience and c...

Qarib Qarib Single - Hindi Movie Review A wonderful Hindi film called Qarib Qarib Single will take you on a charming and unusual journey of love and self-discovery. Tanuja Chandra's romantic comedy-drama presents a novel perspective on contemporary relationships with a dash of humour and real feelings. The story centres on the lives of Yogi (Irrfan Khan) and Jaya (Parvathy Thiruvothu), two very different people who meet through an internet dating service. Yogi is an outgoing, carefree man, while Jaya is a quiet, sensible woman.  The movie expertly portrays their developing relationship as they go on a spontaneous journey together, as well as the numerous encounters they have along the way. The film's realistic and well-written characters are one of its finest features. Irrfan Khan portrays Yogi brilliantly, capturing all of the peculiarities and eccentricities of the character with ease.
